Premium chain SØR undergoes technology upgrade with ROQQIO

Not only the new owner Bonavest is bringing a breath of fresh air to the 24 Germany-wide branches of premium fashion specialist SØR, the company's IT is also undergoing an upgrade - with the help of software provider ROQQIO. Automation when replenishing "never out of stock" items (NOS), faster processing of orders by connecting suppliers or functions such as Click & Collect are some of the innovations that will support the omnichannel strategy of the fashion chain store in the future.

"The SØR customer has invested a lot in his private environment in the last 20 years. We started with this idea and want to give them a new shopping experience in the SØR world," says Oliver Lübbenjans, Managing Director of the company. “Another approach is to attract younger customers. For us, this includes offering more modern sales at the point of sale, e.g. B. with omnichannel processes such as Click & Collect or Click & Reserve.”

 

Realignment with automation

The level of automation in the branches has been increased, which significantly simplifies the replenishment of NOS articles. The ROQQIO systems at SØR communicate independently with those of the regular suppliers and initiate certain repeat orders according to specified parameters. However, individual orders should also be realized more quickly. A consistent connection of all suppliers via EDI is intended in order to guarantee electronic data exchange. This ensures less paper, time savings, more data transparency and more secure processing in various communication processes in retail and is fully supported by the ROQQIO merchandise management system.

 

Technical modernization in branches

In the stores in Berlin, Hamburg and Frankfurt, among others, the online checkout systems now work according to the latest standards. Employees can easily call up customer and product data, have consumers hand over and pay for goods ordered online in the branch, or advise them on other suitable products. The first steps in the technology upgrade have already been implemented and are live at SØR. "Thanks to the close and dynamic cooperation with the ROQQIO team, the extensive project requirements were successfully mastered in such a short time," says Lübbenjans.

With SØR, Bonavest becomes a multi-label chain store, sells its own and third-party goods and has direct customer contact. The omnichannel strategy that the company is pursuing requires even more in-depth support for the retail processes. The ROQQIO systems already cover a large part. “We went to a ROQQIO stand with SØR, which makes a lot possible. Now we want to go further and also technically bring the renovated stores up to a level that we can use to bring SØR completely into the new age.”
