Through the use of RFID, the fashion items at the fashion retailer Pier 14 can be identified easily, quickly and without physical contact. The use of this solution with technologies from ROQQIO and sys-pro GmbH was recognized at the Best Retail Case Awards. Our 2nd place in the jury evaluation applies to the omnichannel category of the competition, and thus to those application exercises that primarily deal with the networking of online and offline in retail. And at Pier 14, too, the advantage of the presented technology for omnichannel trade is obvious: The double sales feared in omnichannel trade are avoided thanks to the most precise inventories and a merchandise management system that makes its data continuously updated available
